Ava R. Tesoriero | Ceramic Artist

Ava Tesoriero is currently an Artist-in-Residence at Saratoga Clay Arts Center in Schuylerville, New York. She earned a B.S. in Studio Art with a ceramics concentration from Skidmore College, graduating Summa Cum Laude in Spring 2025. Tesoriero’s dedication to her practice was recognized at Skidmore’s 2025 Honors Convocation Ceremony, where she received the Barbara Greene Wild Award in Ceramics and the Molly Haley ‘64 Entrepreneurial Artist Prize. Additionally, her Senior Thesis Exhibition was accredited Departmental Honors, awarded to a select five students across the entire major.

Prior to attending Skidmore, Tesoriero earned her Girl Scout Gold Award in 2020, where she developed a sensory art program for adults with special needs at Corpus Christi Church in Chatham Township, New Jersey. She graduated in 2021 from Chatham High School with High Honors, and has received multiple other recognitions for her consistent efforts within her community, including the Prudential Spirit of Community Award, Art League of the Chathams Scholarship, Bertha Barmakian Aspiring Artist Scholarship, and Tessa Handerhan Memorial Inclusion Scholarship. 

Her ceramic work has been featured in numerous exhibitions, including the 2025 Saratoga Clay Arts Center “ClayFest National Invitational,” the 2025 Main Street Arts “12th Annual Small Works,” and the 2025 Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council “120° Intercollegiate Regional.” Most recently, her talents were featured in “518 Profiles” Magazine, Vol. 6 Issue 67. In early 2026, her body of work will be shown in a duo exhibition at the Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council, entitled “The Moon Doesn’t Mind.”
