ROOTED AND IN BLOOM

Each vessel in this exhibition is one of a kind, shaped by the unpredictable nature of saggar firing. During the firing process, the interaction of smoke, sulfates, and combustible materials create surfaces that cannot be controlled or replicated. As a result, every piece carries its own distinct markings and coloration, making them a unique record of both intention and chance.
